The Rupture
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Mercifulإِذَا السَّماءُ انشَقَّت
The time will come when the sky is ruptured.Cited in

يٰأَيُّهَا الإِنسٰنُ إِنَّكَ كادِحٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدحًا فَمُلٰقيهِ
O humans, you are irreversibly heading for a meeting with your Lord.Cited in

فَأَمّا مَن أوتِىَ كِتٰبَهُ بِيَمينِهِ
As for the one who receives his record in his right hand,Cited in
فَسَوفَ يُحاسَبُ حِسابًا يَسيرًا

وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ مَسرورًا

As for the one who receives his record behind his back,Cited in

وَيَصلىٰ سَعيرًا

إِنَّهُ كانَ فى أَهلِهِ مَسرورًا
He used to act arrogantly among his people.إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَن لَن يَحورَ
He thought that he will never be called to account.Cited in

بَلىٰ إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كانَ بِهِ بَصيرًا
Yes indeed, his Lord was Seer of him.Cited in

فَلا أُقسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ
I solemnly swear by the rosy dusk.Cited in
وَالَّيلِ وَما وَسَقَ
And the night as it spreads.Cited in

فَما لَهُم لا يُؤمِنونَ

وَإِذا قُرِئَ عَلَيهِمُ القُرءانُ لا يَسجُدونَ
And when the Quran is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate.بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا يُكَذِّبونَ

وَاللَّهُ أَعلَمُ بِما يوعونَ
GOD is fully aware of their innermost thoughts.Cited in
فَبَشِّرهُم بِعَذابٍ أَليمٍ
Promise them painful retribution.إِلَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُم أَجرٌ غَيرُ مَمنونٍ
As for those who believed and led a righteous life, they receive a recompense that is well-deserved.Cited in
