The Night
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Mercifulوَالَّيلِ إِذا يَغشىٰ
By the night as it covers.Cited in

وَالنَّهارِ إِذا تَجَلّىٰ

وَما خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنثىٰ
And Him who created the male and the female.إِنَّ سَعيَكُم لَشَتّىٰ
Your works are of various kinds.Cited in

فَأَمّا مَن أَعطىٰ وَاتَّقىٰ
As for him who gives to charity and maintains righteousness.Cited in
وَصَدَّقَ بِالحُسنىٰ
And upholds the scripture.Cited in

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِليُسرىٰ
We will direct him towards happiness.Cited in

وَأَمّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاستَغنىٰ
But he who is stingy, though he is rich.Cited in

وَكَذَّبَ بِالحُسنىٰ
And disbelieves in the scripture.Cited in

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلعُسرىٰ
We will direct him towards misery.Cited in

وَما يُغنى عَنهُ مالُهُ إِذا تَرَدّىٰ
His money cannot help him when he falls.Cited in

إِنَّ عَلَينا لَلهُدىٰ

وَإِنَّ لَنا لَلءاخِرَةَ وَالأولىٰ

فَأَنذَرتُكُم نارًا تَلَظّىٰ
I have warned you about the blazing Hellfire.لا يَصلىٰها إِلَّا الأَشقَى
None burns therein except the wicked.Cited in

الَّذى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّىٰ
Who disbelieves and turns away.Cited in

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الأَتقَى
Avoiding it will be the righteous.Cited in

الَّذى يُؤتى مالَهُ يَتَزَكّىٰ
Who gives from his money to charity.Cited in

وَما لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِعمَةٍ تُجزىٰ
Seeking nothing in return.Cited in

إِلَّا ابتِغاءَ وَجهِ رَبِّهِ الأَعلىٰ
Seeking only his Lord, the Most High.Cited in

وَلَسَوفَ يَرضىٰ
He will certainly attain salvation.Cited in
