Sura 7840 versesRevelation order 80النبإ

  1. بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

    In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
  2. عَمَّ يَتَساءَلونَ

    What are they questioning?

  3. عَنِ النَّبَإِ العَظيمِ

    The great event.

  4. الَّذى هُم فيهِ مُختَلِفونَ

    That is disputed by them.
  5. كَلّا سَيَعلَمونَ

    Indeed, they will find out.
  6. ثُمَّ كَلّا سَيَعلَمونَ

    Most assuredly, they will find out.
  7. أَلَم نَجعَلِ الأَرضَ مِهٰدًا

    Did we not make the earth habitable?

    And the mountains stabilizers?

  9. وَخَلَقنٰكُم أَزوٰجًا

    We created you as mates (for one another).

    We created sleeping so you can rest.

    We made the night a cover.

    And the day to seek provisions.

    We built above you seven universes.

    We created a bright lamp.

  15. وَأَنزَلنا مِنَ المُعصِرٰتِ ماءً ثَجّاجًا

    We send down from the clouds pouring water.

  16. لِنُخرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَباتًا

    To produce with it grains and plants.

  17. وَجَنّٰتٍ أَلفافًا

    And various orchards.

  18. إِنَّ يَومَ الفَصلِ كانَ ميقٰتًا

    The Day of Decision is appointed.

  19. يَومَ يُنفَخُ فِى الصّورِ فَتَأتونَ أَفواجًا

    The day the horn is blown, and you come in throngs.

  20. وَفُتِحَتِ السَّماءُ فَكانَت أَبوٰبًا

    The heaven will be opened like gates.

  21. وَسُيِّرَتِ الجِبالُ فَكانَت سَرابًا

    The mountains will be removed, as if they were a mirage.

  22. إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كانَت مِرصادًا

    Gehenna is inevitable.

  23. لِلطّٰغينَ مَـٔابًا

    For the transgressors; it will be their abode.

  24. لٰبِثينَ فيها أَحقابًا

    They stay in it for ages.

  25. لا يَذوقونَ فيها بَردًا وَلا شَرابًا

    They never taste in it coolness, nor a drink.

  26. إِلّا حَميمًا وَغَسّاقًا

    Only an inferno, and bitter food.

    A just requital.

  28. إِنَّهُم كانوا لا يَرجونَ حِسابًا

    They never expected to be held accountable.

  29. وَكَذَّبوا بِـٔايٰتِنا كِذّابًا

    And utterly rejected our signs.

  30. وَكُلَّ شَيءٍ أَحصَينٰهُ كِتٰبًا

    We counted everything in a record.

  31. فَذوقوا فَلَن نَزيدَكُم إِلّا عَذابًا

    Suffer the consequences; we will only increase your retribution.

  32. إِنَّ لِلمُتَّقينَ مَفازًا

    The righteous have deserved a reward.

  33. حَدائِقَ وَأَعنٰبًا

    Orchards and grapes.

  34. وَكَواعِبَ أَترابًا

    Magnificent spouses.

  35. وَكَأسًا دِهاقًا

    Delicious drinks.

  36. لا يَسمَعونَ فيها لَغوًا وَلا كِذّٰبًا

    They will never hear in it any nonsense or lies.

  37. جَزاءً مِن رَبِّكَ عَطاءً حِسابًا

    A reward from your Lord; a generous recompense.

  38. رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما بَينَهُمَا الرَّحمٰنِ ۖ لا يَملِكونَ مِنهُ خِطابًا

    Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. The Most Gracious. No one can abrogate His decisions.

  39. يَومَ يَقومُ الرّوحُ وَالمَلٰئِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لا يَتَكَلَّمونَ إِلّا مَن أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحمٰنُ وَقالَ صَوابًا

    The day will come when the Spirit and the angels will stand in a row. None will speak except those permitted by the Most Gracious, and they will utter only what is right.

  40. ذٰلِكَ اليَومُ الحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلىٰ رَبِّهِ مَـٔابًا

    Such is the inevitable day. Whoever wills let him take refuge in his Lord.

  41. إِنّا أَنذَرنٰكُم عَذابًا قَريبًا يَومَ يَنظُرُ المَرءُ ما قَدَّمَت يَداهُ وَيَقولُ الكافِرُ يٰلَيتَنى كُنتُ تُرٰبًا

    We have sufficiently warned you about an imminent retribution. That is the day when everyone will examine what his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish I were dust."
