The Snatchers
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Mercifulوَالنّٰزِعٰتِ غَرقًا
The (angels who) snatch (the souls of the disbelievers) forcibly.وَالنّٰشِطٰتِ نَشطًا
And those who gently take (the souls of the believers) joyfully.Cited in

وَالسّٰبِحٰتِ سَبحًا
And those floating everywhere.Cited in

يَومَ تَرجُفُ الرّاجِفَةُ
The day the quake quakes.Cited in

تَتبَعُهَا الرّادِفَةُ
Followed by the second blow.قُلوبٌ يَومَئِذٍ واجِفَةٌ
Certain minds will be terrified.أَبصٰرُها خٰشِعَةٌ
Their eyes will be subdued.Cited in

يَقولونَ أَءِنّا لَمَردودونَ فِى الحافِرَةِ
They will say, "We have been recreated from the grave!Cited in

أَءِذا كُنّا عِظٰمًا نَخِرَةً
"How did this happen after we had turned into rotten bones?"Cited in

قالوا تِلكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خاسِرَةٌ
They had said, "This is an impossible recurrence."فَإِنَّما هِىَ زَجرَةٌ وٰحِدَةٌ
All it takes is one nudge.فَإِذا هُم بِالسّاهِرَةِ
Whereupon they get up.هَل أَتىٰكَ حَديثُ موسىٰ
Have you known about the history of Moses?Cited in

His Lord called him at the holy valley of Tuwaa.Cited in

ثُمَّ أَدبَرَ يَسعىٰ

فَقالَ أَنا۠ رَبُّكُمُ الأَعلىٰ
He said, "I am your Lord; most high."Cited in

فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكالَ الءاخِرَةِ وَالأولىٰ
Consequently, GOD committed him to the retribution in the Hereafter, as well as in the first life.Cited in

إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَعِبرَةً لِمَن يَخشىٰ

ءَأَنتُم أَشَدُّ خَلقًا أَمِ السَّماءُ ۚ بَنىٰها
Are you more difficult to create than the heaven? He constructed it.Cited in
رَفَعَ سَمكَها فَسَوّىٰها
He raised its masses, and perfected it.Cited in

وَأَغطَشَ لَيلَها وَأَخرَجَ ضُحىٰها

He made the earth egg-shaped.*Cited in
أَخرَجَ مِنها ماءَها وَمَرعىٰها

وَالجِبالَ أَرسىٰها

مَتٰعًا لَكُم وَلِأَنعٰمِكُم
All this to provide life support for you and your animals.Cited in
فَإِذا جاءَتِ الطّامَّةُ الكُبرىٰ
Then, when the great blow comes.يَومَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الإِنسٰنُ ما سَعىٰ
That is the day when the human will remember everything he did.Cited in

وَبُرِّزَتِ الجَحيمُ لِمَن يَرىٰ
Hell will be brought into existence.Cited in

فَأَمّا مَن طَغىٰ
As for the one who transgressed.Cited in

وَءاثَرَ الحَيوٰةَ الدُّنيا
Who was preoccupied with this life.Cited in

فَإِنَّ الجَحيمَ هِىَ المَأوىٰ
Hell will be the abode.وَأَمّا مَن خافَ مَقامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفسَ عَنِ الهَوىٰ
As for the one who reverenced the majesty of his Lord, and enjoined the self from sinful lusts.Cited in
فَإِنَّ الجَنَّةَ هِىَ المَأوىٰ
Paradise will be the abode.Cited in

يَسـَٔلونَكَ عَنِ السّاعَةِ أَيّانَ مُرسىٰها
They ask you about the Hour, and when it will take place!Cited in

It is not you (Muhammad) who is destined to announce its time.Cited in

إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهىٰها

إِنَّما أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخشىٰها
Your mission is to warn those who expect it.كَأَنَّهُم يَومَ يَرَونَها لَم يَلبَثوا إِلّا عَشِيَّةً أَو ضُحىٰها
The day they see it, they will feel as if they lasted one evening or half a day.Cited in
